Ogun Governor Announces Grants, Expresses Commitment to Youth Empowerment

ADDRESSING THE critical role of youth in nation-building, Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, unveiled plans to empower business-oriented youths through grants.

Speaking at the First Annual Youth Summit and Empowerment Programme at the Cultural Centre in Abeokuta, the Governor stressed the importance of preparing young people for the future.

Represented by his Deputy Chief of Staff, Dr. Oluwatoyin Taiwo, Governor Abiodun declared that his administration prioritises youth empowerment, recognising them as the foundation of any society.

“Hope is not passive but active, requiring courage,” he stated, encouraging the youth to embrace opportunities.

Senior Special Assistant to the President on Digital Communication, Mr. O’tega Ogra, highlighted the federal government’s loan scheme benefiting over 300,000 students, demonstrating commitment to youth welfare.

Similarly, Mr. Kamorudeen Yusuf, the President’s Personal Assistant on Special Duties, urged young people to actively participate in nation-building.

Senior Special Assistant to the President, Rinsola Abiola, commended the Governor for his impactful youth-focused programmes, acknowledging their role in transforming lives.
