A WARNING has been issued to the general public regarding fraudulent individuals and companies impersonating representatives of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Limited to exploit unsuspecting victims.

These imposters, according to the NNPC statement, reportedly solicit fees under the guise of arranging meetings with members of the company’s board, executive team, and senior management, a practice the management has declared wholly unauthorised and unlawful.

NNPC states that the alert is especially targeted at foreign investors and international businesses who may be vulnerable to such deceptive overtures.

The company is thus urging anyone contacted under suspicious circumstances to report the matter immediately to the relevant authorities.

Noting that all official business dealings with NNPC Limited are conducted exclusively through its authorised channels and recognised business units; the organisation reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, ethical conduct, and the safeguarding of stakeholder interests in all business engagements.

“Let’s work together to prevent scams. Stay alert and share this notice,” pleaded Olufemi Soneye, Chief Corporate Communications Officer of NNPC Ltd, in a press statement issued on 9th June 2025.

The NNPC also notes that for further enquiries, individuals and businesses are encouraged to reach out via solely the official contact email: contactus@nnpcgroup.com.
